SEATTLE, WA (March 15) - Perkins Coie is pleased to announce that Counsel Barry G. Stratford has been named to the National LGBT Bar Association’s 2019 “Best 40 LGBTQ+ Lawyers Under 40” list. The National LGBT Bar recognizes 40 LGBTQ+ legal professionals under the age of 40 who have distinguished themselves in their field and have demonstrated a clear commitment to LGBTQ+ equality.

Barry focuses his practice on complex commercial litigation matters, primarily large environmental disputes and defending clients against allegations of trade secret theft. He has experience counseling both large and small companies throughout the various stages of civil litigation, including representing clients in federal and state courts at the trial and appellate levels.

In 2014, Barry successfully represented same-sex couples in overturning Arizona’s discriminatory marriage ban. Barry is also a co-founder and board member of the AZ LGBT Bar Association and serves as chair of the Arizona Collaborative Bar, a collaboration of ten Arizona diverse bar organizations committed to promoting diversity and inclusion in the Arizona legal community.
